The students of the School were present in the Plaza de la Villa de Madrid where we celebrated Hanukkah in the Street for the sixth consecutive year. Many students went to witness the public lighting of the Janukiyá and others went to sing in the choir that had a spectacular performance.

The choir of the Centro Ibn Gabirol-Colegio Estrella Toledano, directed by NA and prepared this time by JB, opened the celebration by interpreting three typical songs of the festival.

The Mayor of Madrid chaired the event, accompanied by the Ambassador of Israel, the Director of the Centro Sefarad-Israel, the President of the Jewish Community of Madrid and other personalities.

It is a pleasure and a duty for us to be at public events of this importance.
