Avodat Shorashim, "My family Roots"
Just a project?

The Shorashim Project is the most important essay in the History of the Jewish People subject.

This project proposes to our 8th. grade students and their families, delving into their own family history, reviewing the ties of belonging and understanding that the Jewish present derives from a past and is projected through a vision of the world towards the search for a different universal future . This project provides a sense of belonging to a people, in which ties and signs of identity are reinforced.

To understand the History of the Jewish People, we must always go back to its origins, to its roots.

In a research setting, students go through  the life of his ancestors and with them his own life.
They study
Jewish life in the Diaspora, their migrations, the difficulties they have had to overcome, the achievements, the work and the effort to always keep our customs and traditions alive.

Today we feel stronger, because those roots are more solid and in some way work helps to be an active part of them. A work that speaks of memory and identity.
